The 14-month overhaul of the Petersen Automotive Museum is finally complete, and the result is breathtaking. The updated site doesn't actually open until Dec. 7, but ace photographer Drew Phillips went inside early to snap the spectacular gallery of shots you see above.

The Petersen sports a new exterior that covers the building with arching ribbons of stainless steel, and the bended metal subtly gets visitors ready for the complex curves of the gorgeous vehicles inside.
